ABOUT US
Welcome to Popley Fields Community Centre – A Hub for Connection and Growth.

Located on the edge of Popley, Basingstoke, Popley Fields Community Centre has been a pillar of the community since its opening in 1996. Built by the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the Centre is proudly managed by a passionate team from the Popley Fields Community Association (PFCA), with daily operations overseen by our dedicated Centre Manager and staff.

As a registered charity (No. 1177044), our mission is simple: to bring the people of Popley together, creating a space where everyone feels welcome and supported. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, join activities, or give back through volunteering, the Community Centre is here for you.

Popley Fields is more than just a building—it’s a space where ideas come to life, where friendships are made, and where everyone is welcome. Join us today and become part of a community that cares.
Bordered by two communal open spaces and Basing Woods, which is perfect for dog walking, our community centre offers a variety of opportunities for outdoor activities.

For any enquiries about using the open spaces (which are owned by Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council), please contact the centre manager, who will connect you with the appropriate B&DBC representatives.

The centre’s garden is a versatile outdoor area with direct access from both the Abbey Room and the Café.
Building Community
We encourage Popley residents to get involved in local activities that strengthen connections and create a sense of belonging. By offering opportunities for recreation, education, and development, we strive to enhance the quality of life for everyone in our community.
Creating Opportunities
From educational workshops to leisure activities, we aim to provide accessible opportunities that inspire growth and learning.
Volunteering
Volunteering is at the heart of what we do. We believe in the power of giving back and creating positive change.
Sustainability & Innovation
We invest all funds back into the Centre and community projects, ensuring that we continue to grow, improve, and thrive.
